Job summary

Arup is offering a Graduate Opportunity in railway electrification and overhead line engineering. You will contribute to design, analysis and project delivery across infrastructure projects while developing technical leadership within multidisciplinary teams.

We seek graduates with a Masters in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Structural Engineering, with strong problem-solving, CAD and data analysis skills, and familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or Structural Engineering required.
• Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills with CAD experience.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation and Microsoft Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver railway electrification and overhead line engineering design work across infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop safe and robust engineering solutions.
• Prepare and review technical calculations, drawings, reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Engage with clients, contractors and stakeholders to support project delivery and resolve technical challenges.
• Contribute to project planning, design assurance and continuous improvement activities while developing technical expertise.

The Opportunity

Our team delivers railway electrification and overhead line engineering services across a wide range of projects and clients. We provide technical leadership, design, assurance, and project delivery support throughout the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept development through to detailed design and construction support. The team works closely with interfacing disciplines and client organisations to develop safe, efficient, and technically robust solutions that meet operational, regulatory, and programme requirements.

Is this role right for you?

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes: A Masters degree in relevant academic discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering; Civil Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Structural Engineering.

Skills and experience interested in problem solving, data analysis, CAD, load calculation. Use of AutoCAD, use of Microstation, use of Microsoft office.
