The Position

The Graduate Engineer will work within the Systems Engineering team to support development of our FDA-regulated medical devices that deliver diagnostic results that are clear and actionable. You will be counted on to contribute to maintaining the day-to-day running of instruments, managing software builds on the devices and deployment across our cross-functional technical teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Managing and executing repairs or modifications to instruments in support of reported issues, investigations, or design improvements.
  • Detailed analysis, reporting and record-keeping of defective units within lab spaces, ensuring working set of instruments for daily use.
  • Product and component testing, and reliability testing.
  • Collaborating with mechanical and software engineers to integrate new features or designs in support of verification and validation activities.
  • Assist in documentation writing.
  • Work closely with the internal teams to provide technical support and implement improvements in cross-collaborative practices.

Education, Experience And Demonstrated Skills

  • BEng or MSc in engineering (e.g., Systems, Biomedical, Mechatronics, Electronics) or related discipline.
  • Some experience in the industry.
  • Understanding of microcontrollers, software development/debugging of scripts and programs.
  • Experience of using CAD software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to troubleshooting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn about working within a regulated industry environment.
