Job summary

Mammoet in the United Kingdom invites graduates to join the Heavy Lifting and Transport Operations team as a Graduate Engineer, commencing September 2026. You will work on-site at our Thornaby office and start on a salary of £32,591 per year with an industry-leading development plan to accelerate your early career.

You’ll develop engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transport projects, create drawings and calculations using AutoCAD and in-house software, and learn from experienced team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a similar discipline.
  • Computer skills including CAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken, UK right to work without restriction.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transport projects.
  • Work with conventional methods and develop new approaches.
  • Create drawings, calculations, manuals, risk assessments using various software.
  • Ensure efficient execution delivering the right results for the customer.
  • Develop understanding of Mammoet equipment and its application.

  • Starting salary of £32,591 per year and industry leading development plan
  • Working on site at the Mammoet office in Thornaby, Teesside

Reporting into one of our Engineering Team Leaders, we'll help you grow and develop into the next generation of successful heavy lift Engineers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Supporting the development of engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects
  • Working with both conventional methodologies and developing new approaches
  • Creating drawings, calculations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documents using various software packages like: AutoCAD, and in-house developed software
  • Ensuring efficient execution that delivers the right results for the customer
  • Developing your engineering understand and expertise with the Mammoet equipment and its application
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a similar engineering discipline
  • Computer skills including CAD and Microsoft Office
  • English, fluent proficiency verbal and written and UK right to work without restriction
  • Full UK driving license essential
