Mammoet in Thornaby, Teesside, invites applications for a Graduate Engineer in Heavy Lifting and Transport Operations starting September 2026. The role offers a starting salary of £32,591 per year and an industry-leading development plan, with on-site work at the Mammoet office.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or similar.
• CAD and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Fluent English and UK right to work without restriction.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transport projects.
• Work with conventional methodologies and develop new approaches.
• Create drawings, calculations, manuals, risk assessments using AutoCAD and in-house software.
• Ensure efficient execution delivering the right results for the customer.
• Develop engineering understanding with Mammoet equipment and its applications.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Supporting the development of engineering solutions for heavy lifting and transportation projects
• Working with both conventional methodologies and developing new approaches
• Creating drawings, calculations, manuals, risk assessments and other key documents using various software packages like: AutoCAD, and in-house developed software
• Ensuring efficient execution that delivers the right results for the customer
• Developing your engineering understand and expertise with the Mammoet equipment and its application

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a similar engineering discipline
• Computer skills including CAD and Microsoft Office
• English, fluent proficiency verbal and written and UK right to work without restriction
• Full UK driving license essential
