Job description

Graduate Engineer

This is a great opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join a well-known Tier 1 contractor within the civils and infrastructure sector.

The company operates nationwide throughout the UK and has multiple regional offices. As a Graduate Engineer, you will join an award-winning business providing engineering and quality control for construction works, including maintaining appropriate records. You will also support and assist others as required to ensure the project site remains compliant with all requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate and provide measurement data as required by the Commercial department.
  2. Work with the Project Team and subcontractors to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  3. Prepare and approve permits, task briefs, and other documentation, ensuring all are fully briefed prior to work.
  4. Contribute to the construction programme.
  5. Provide accurate engineering control and setting out for the works based on approved design information.
  6. Assist in developing temporary works solutions.
  7. Support TWC and supervisors.
  8. Help ensure project compliance.
  9. Undertake inspections and checks.
  10. Identify incomplete or erroneous design information and notify management for resolution.
  11. Maintain accurate site diaries and records of work progress.
Experience Required:
  • Basic knowledge of the construction industry and standard techniques.
  • Understanding of project processes, obtained through project induction.
  • Good appreciation of commercial and contractual requirements.
Package:

Basic salary up to £29,000.
