Job summary

Allelys in Studley, UK, is seeking a Graduate Engineer to support the planning and delivery of heavy lift, transport and installation projects. You will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to develop engineering solutions.

Role Description

The Graduate Engineer will support the planning and delivery of heavy lift, transport, and installation projects, working closely with senior engineers and project managers. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with engineering calculations, preparing technical documentation and method statements, and contributing to risk assessments and HSEQ compliance. The role involves liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, supporting permit applications, and helping to coordinate on-site activities to ensure safe and efficient project execution. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Studley, with a mix of office-based work and site visits to support projects as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or similar) or equivalent qualification.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic engineering calculations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, method statements, and stakeholder correspondence.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and build effective working relationships.
• Competence with common engineering and office software (e.g., CAD tools, MS Office); familiarity with project management software is an advantage.
• An understanding of, or strong interest in, HSEQ principles and safe working practices in engineering and construction environments.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Interest in sustainability and infrastructure projects supporting the UK’s net zero and green objectives.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required and adapt to changing project demands.
