Job summary

Penguin Recruitment in Glasgow is hiring a Graduate Engineering Geologist to join a growing consultancy. You will gain hands-on experience across ground investigation, engineering geology and geotechnical projects, working alongside experienced engineers and geologists.

The role requires a BSc or MSc in Geology or Geotechnical Engineering, strong communication skills, and a willingness to work on site across Scotland and the wider UK. A full UK driving licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Geology or Engineering Geology degree required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Full UK driving licence or towards obtaining one.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and supervising ground investigations and site works.
• Soil and rock logging in accordance with standards.
• Assisting with geological mapping and site assessments.
• Undertaking site inspections and ground condition assessments.
• Collecting and interpreting geological and geotechnical data.
• Preparing factual and interpretative technical reports.
• Liaising with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Working both in the office and on site across projects.
