You will contribute to both internal development and customer-funded projects, encompassing all aspects of design, test, and qualification. Product applications include industrial high temperature, harsh environment hybrid microelectronics, RF transmit/receive modules, optoelectronic transceivers, radar systems, and hybrid microelectronics for aerospace and defence applications.

Here are some examples of the types of programmes you could be working on:

  • High Temperature – we are a chosen design partner for the design and manufacture of hybrid multi-chip modules used in high temperature environments within oil and gas drilling and exploration.

Our customers approach us with complex and challenging projects.

You will be provided with a wealth of development opportunities, engaging with these exciting projects as part of our talented team of highly skilled engineers to provide leading design and manufacturing solutions that meet and exceed those challenges. Working cross-functionally with multiple teams and departments, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of our products throughout their life cycle, including:

  • Review of new opportunities: reviewing customer enquiries, supporting sales in quoting
  • Design of new products: CAD layout from schematic, BOM management, simulation and analysis, qualification of new designs, design for manufacture, generating manufacturing documentation, test specification/design
  • Supporting products in manufacture: issue resolution, customer returns, support of diagnostics, CI activities and improvement projects
  • Life cycle management: component obsolescence review, selection of replacements, re-design for obsolescence, documentation update

As part of your graduate role, you will complete several placements across different engineering areas and other departments outside of engineering to build broad knowledge and experience of the business. Within engineering, you will work across disciplines such as electronics design, process development, RF engineering, and test and diagnostics. You will also have opportunities in program and product management, sales/customer support, supply chain and planning, quality assurance, and manufacturing.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including:

  • Flexible working practices, such as a 9-day fortnight, hybrid working, flexitime accruing up to 12 additional days per year, and a half-day Friday
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with options to buy additional days
