Job Description

Graduate Electronic Engineer required for a respected market leader manufacturer in its sector. We are seeking a motivated and focused graduate electronic engineer to join our dedicated team of development engineers. The main function of the role will be the design and development of electronic test applications for functional testing across various industry sectors.

You will be involved in the testing of hardware and software, designing electronic test applications, and programming testing using National Instruments such as LabView, Teststand, or Matlab.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Commissioning of Test Applications and project management.
2. Support customers for all technical queries.
3. To gain experience and learn skills to be able to independently design and develop Automatic Test Equipment solutions to the highest quality.
4. Design and develop electronic test applications for functional test equipment.
5. Solving a range of problems in test applications, be they Mechanical, Electrical, or Pneumatic.
6. Assembly of Mechanical and Electrical assemblies, including soldering and crimping.
7. Executing hardware design tasks in accordance with the hardware development plan, whilst meeting agreed timescales.
8. Develop hardware product test specifications and procedures in line with customer requirements.

The Person: We are seeking a motivated and outgoing graduate to join our busy development team.

1. Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, ideally First Class.
2. Knowledge of Instrumentation such as PXI, LXI, GPIB.
3. Test system architecture and electro-mechanical engineering.
4. Experience of hardware design.
5. Solving a range of problems in test applications, be they Mechanical, Electrical, or Pneumatic.
6. Electrical assemblies, including soldering and crimping.
7. Project Management.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Security clearance checks will be required.

Additional Information:

UK/EU - Own transport required. No sponsorship available. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and extremely busy manufacturer with a very strong order book. You will be provided with excellent training and development during your time here.

Basic salary c£30k + annual bonus c£6k (after 12 months service), Healthcare, 28 days annual leave including bank holidays. Start in July/August 2025.
