Job summary

AECOM is recruiting an Electrical Engineering Graduate to join the Water team in Belfast. You’ll contribute to design and specification of electrical systems for water treatment, supporting from concept through to execution in a hybrid working environment.

The role emphasises developing skills in electrical design, cable calculations, MCC/Control Panel details, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• MEng in Electrical Engineering (2:1 or above) preferred.
• Relevant work experience would be an advantage.
• Willing to work towards professional qualifications such as IET & IMechE.
• Permanent right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship not offered).
• Water-related modules would be an advantage.
• Good report writing skills beneficial and effective communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Production of cable calculations, cable schedules, and circuit schedules.
• Production of lighting designs.
• Production of MCC/ Control Panel details including ICA information.
• Production of electrical specification documents.
• Utilise Amtech, Dialux and Lighting Reality software design programmes.
• Liaise with internal and external design teams, clients and contractors as appropriate.
• Provision of timely reporting to both the client and internal team lead.
