Job summary

Jacobs is recruiting graduates for its Graduate Development Program in the water sector, based from Manchester. You will join a large team delivering water and wastewater projects, with mentoring and real project work across four capability areas.

Qualifications

• Completed a relevant Degree or Master’s level qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Flexible, proactive mindset and motivation to drive your career forward
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for learning
• Permanent right to work in the UK
• Available to start March 2027

Responsibilities

• Deliver electrical design solutions for water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare electrical calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.
• Design LV distribution, MCCs, control panels, and standby generation.
• Support instrumentation, control and automation interfaces with ICA teams.
• Participate in design reviews, hazard workshops, HAZOPs and constructability reviews.
• Undertake site visits, surveys, inspections and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and discipline leads to ensure on-time delivery.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and client specifications.
• Support cost estimation, programme development and risk management.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and sharing of best practices.
