Job summary

Jacobs is recruiting graduates for its Graduate Development Program (GDP) in the UK water sector, with a start date of March 2027. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team on civil and water/wastewater projects, gaining exposure through blended learning, mentoring, and real project work.

Qualifications

• Completed a relevant Degree or Master’s level qualification in Civil Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering or similar.
• Permanent right to work in the UK.
• Available to start March 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of outline and detailed civil engineering designs for water and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, reservoirs, pipelines, and infrastructure.
• Assist in the preparation of calculations, technical reports, design drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
• Assist with site inspections, surveys, condition assessments, and construction support activities.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and health and safety workshops.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, client requirements, and industry best practice.
• Contribute to the delivery of projects within budgets, programmes and quality standards.
• Build effective relationships with project teams, clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Engage in continuous professional development and work towards professional accreditation.
