Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our London team, contributing to detailed designs, plans and specifications from concept through to completion.

You will support project managers with tasks across a range of projects while developing core technical and professional skills. You will work in a collaborative, employee-owned environment, with access to learning opportunities and progression as you gain Chartered status.

Qualifications

• MSc or BEng in Electrical Engineering, Building Services or Equivalent subject.
• Good IT knowledge and experience featuring Microsoft Packages.
• Personable and a ‘can do’ attitude with resource management experience.
• Be clear, concise, professional and personable when communicating with clients, colleagues and suppliers.
• The ability to project a positive and professional attitude at all times.
• Some knowledge and use of appropriate design analysis software desirable.
• Able to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and Clients.
• To be able to work as part as a team and collaboratively and co-operatively.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers and the winder team in the design process in order to gain a detailed working knowledge of all parts of the industry.
• Where directed, carry out detailed design and calculations in accordance with industry guides.
• Assist and prepare specifications, reports, and drawings to the design programme.
• Oversee project site works snagging and testing as and when directed by your line manager or group lead.
