Job Description:

This role is part of our Graduate Programme at Assystem, where from Day 1, you will be welcomed into the company, focusing on understanding our work, values, and your 2-year development experience.

You will work on live projects with clients, offering immediate value and gaining new skills. The programme includes mentorship, peer learning through Graduate Forums, skill development via our upskilling framework, and opportunities across various industries and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Develop design packages for Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation systems for various clients, primarily in the nuclear and energy transition sectors.
• Support site construction and commissioning activities.
• Provide engineering consultancy and support services to our clients.
• Present findings internally and externally, requiring strong communication skills.
• Work independently or under supervision from a Lead Engineer.
• Manage tasks within allocated budgets.
• Adhere to the Assystem Quality Management System.
• Assist in proposal writing and bidding activities.
• Propose solutions proactively to issues encountered.
• Bring innovative approaches to project delivery.

Qualifications:

Essential:

• BEng in Electrical or Power Engineering
• Strong electrical principles and power systems knowledge
• Fundamentals of control and instrumentation
• Ability to interpret technical drawings

Desirable:

• Experience with CAD tools
• Knowledge of the nuclear or energy sectors
• Progress toward Chartered status with the Engineering Council
