Your role:

We are looking for a Graduate Economistto be based in Manchester, joining our 2026 Graduate Programme.

As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort.The Development Economics Team is a dynamic mix of graduates and professionals. You will be part of this supportive andexperiencedteam based in our new Manchester office, as part of the national Development Economics offer,where you will work on a broad range of projects. There is so much opportunity to grow and develop as a graduate Economist as you will be joining a well-established team of qualified economists from economics, regeneration, and economic development backgrounds.

As a Graduate Economist you will work in a dynamic environment and be supported by your team colleagues so that you learn about techniques and approaches to economic analysis from each project you work on. Deploying your skills across a broad range of projects in different sectors provides a great opportunity for inquisitive and analytical candidates.

The team mainly works with public sector clients across the UK, supporting them to make decisions about project delivery, investment, and strategy. You will contribute to a variety of projects including developing business cases to secure funding for regeneration scheme, undertaken economic impact assessments and developing economic and regeneration strategies. The successful candidate will conduct research, prepare reports, presentations, bids and proposals as well as engage with clients, partner and other teams within Stantec.
