Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Graduate Ecologist in Manchester to support habitat and protected species surveys, desktop studies, data analysis and report writing within our Ecology team. You will gain training, mentoring, Chartership support and access to our Early Careers Programme.

The role offers flexible/hybrid working from Manchester, with initial emphasis on office learning and development, and involvement in multi-disciplinary projects across sectors.

Qualifications

• 2:1 degree in ecology, conservation or related discipline
• Be a student or qualifying member of CIEEM (or working towards this)
• Good written and verbal communication skills; understanding of ecological survey and mitigation; willingness to travel and work flexible hours; UK driving licence (ideally with vehicle access)
• SC clearance and DBS check required

Responsibilities

• Support habitat and protected species surveys in the field and contribute to robust ecological assessment
• Engage in desktop studies, data analysis and report writing; assist with fee proposals
• Collaborate on multidisciplinary projects and deliver practical ecological solutions across teams
