Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant – Leeds

Are you a recent graduate in Education, Psychology, or a core subject, looking to kickstart your career in Early Years education?

Do you have a passion for supporting young children in their crucial first steps of learning, and want to gain hands-on experience in a nurturing, inclusive school setting?

Whether you’ve studied child development or psychology, or you simply love working with young children, this Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant role could be the perfect next step for you!

The Role: Graduate Early Years Teaching Assistant

• Location: Leeds – easily accessible with excellent public transport links
• Start Date: Immediate and September starts available
• Contract: Full-time, long-term for the remainder of the academic year
• Pay: Earn up to £560 per week

Role Includes:

• Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
• Providing 1:1 and small group support, particularly for children with additional needs
• Assisting in Early Years learning environments including interactive and outdoor learning areas
• Encouraging emotional, social, and academic development through play and structured learning
• Progression Opportunities: Potential to move into teacher training from September 2025
