Job summary

McLaughlin & Harvey is seeking a Graduate Digital Graphics Technician to support the team in creating 2D and 3D visualisations for tender and construction. You will work with Blender, Revit, 3DS Max and Twinmotion, plus Adobe Creative Cloud tools to enhance visuals.

The role involves generating renderings, extracting model data, and developing visuals to explain logistics. Travel across the UK may be required as part of site visits and project support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Full UK driving license.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to undertake site visits anywhere in the UK.
• High levels of organisational skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines; strong numerical, IT and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
• Ability to work on initiative with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Digital Graphics team in preparing and developing 2D and 3D visualisations for tender and construction requirements.
• Use 3D software such as Blender, Revit, 3DS Max, Twinmotion (training provided).
• Utilise Adobe Creative Cloud to enhance 3D visualisations (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
• Create 3D rendered visualisations.
• Access and extract information from 3D models (IFC, Revit, DWG, etc.).
• Develop visualisations to illustrate logistical solutions.
• Generate drawings from first principles to current company standards.
• Provide quantities from models/drawings to assist planning and commercial teams.

What you will be doing

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Digital Graphics team in the preparation and development of 2D and 3D visualisations for tender and construction requirements.
• Utilisation of 3D software e.g. Blender, Revit, 3DS Max, Twinmotion (training and guidance with all software will be provided through the placement).
• Utilisation of Adobe Creative Cloud applications to enhance 3D visualisations e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Creation of 3D rendered visualisations.
• Access and extract information from 3D models (IFC, Revit, DWG, etc.).
• Develop visualisations to illustrate logistical solutions.
• Generating drawings from first principles to current company standards.
• Provide quantities from models / drawings to assist the planning and commercial teams.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Hold bachelor's degree, HNC OR HND in relevant Discipline
• Hold a full UK driving license
• Sound Commercial Awareness
• Excellent communication & negotiation skills
• Happy to undertake site visits to anywhere in the UK
• High levels of organisational skills
