Capgemini are seeking a Graduate DevOps Engineer in Test for their UK Quality Engineering practice. You will work across client sites, gaining exposure to Next-Generation Software Testing, automation, and AI tooling, with a clear career path and internal progression opportunities. Hybrid working blends office, client sites, and home.

You will be supported to develop across testing tools, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices as part of Sogeti UK. Accommodation depends on role and project needs.

Qualifications

  • Must have or be studying towards a minimum 2:2 degree.
  • Proven scripting and development experience in an OOP language (Java, JavaScript, AngularJS, Perl, Python or Ruby).
  • Understanding of DevOps principles and cloud solutions (AWS/Azure).
  • Experience with automated test tools (Selenium, Tosca, EggPlant).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and automation tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Jenkins, TeamCity).
  • Knowledge of Generative AI techniques, especially prompt engineering.
  • Willingness to travel/work at various locations during the week.

About the job you’re considering

As a Sogeti UK consultant, you will be part of the Digital Assurance and Quality Engineering practice and represent Sogeti by providing expert solutions to our customers to help us maintain our position as a leader in the market. You will work on different client sites in a range of industries that include; well-known global grands, government, finance, insurance, aerospace and media/digital. You will gain exposure to a variety of tools and technologies that will allow you to continuously develop as a subject matter expert in quality engineering.

Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your skills and experience
  • To be eligible for this programme, you must have obtained, or be studying towards, a minimum 2:2 degree. If you are currently studying, you must have completed your degree prior to proposed start date. We recognise that mitigating circumstances can have an impact on academic performance.   • Knowledge and experience of scripting and development in any OOP language such as Java, JavaScript, Angular JS, Perl, Python or Ruby.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles.
  • Knowledge of Cloud solutions such as AWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of automated test tools such as Selenium, Tosca or EggPlant.
  • Awareness of Continuous Integration / Deployment (CI/CD), Server Configuration and Automation tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Jenkins or TeamCity.
  • Knowledge of Generative and Agentic AI techniques, particularly prompt engineering.
  • Flexibility on travel / work locations during the working week.

To be successfully appointed to this role you will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks.
