Job description

As a Graduate Developer you will be responsible for the technical development, support and maintenance of internal and external systems, websites, and integrations.

The successful candidate will have a recent educational background in software development, preferably with experience in Microsoft development products and C# primarily, with additional skill in modern web-based software development, HTML5 and JavaScript, to provide flexible and wide-ranging support. You should have a foundational working knowledge of good software design following modern software design principles, knowledge of client, service, and web-based systems and an analytical approach to requirements of users and the greater organisation. As a graduate role, self-development of your own skills and knowledge will be desirable, however, you will be working as part of a small team. Database knowledge and skills are also desirable.

A client-driven approach backed by an IT qualification to at least graduate level is essential, which will require you to work in a hands-on development role as part of a wider team either contributing to or managing small projects. You will primarily assist the Head of Department: Systems Development and other developers on larger projects and may be expected to assist with IT infrastructure projects. You will also work and consult with marketing on publicly facing websites and systems. Other requirements include excellent communication and people skills, excellent organisational skills; analytical and critical thinking skills and the ability to work methodically and accurately. Strict confidentiality should be always maintained.
