Job Description:

Our client designs and manufactures bespoke solutions. They are seeking a Graduate Design Engineer to join their team in Widnes on a permanent basis.

Candidate Attributes:

• HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar design role
• Experience designing bespoke/precision products and mechanics, in professional, educational, or personal projects
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, tolerances, and machinery
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and within a small multidisciplinary team

Role Responsibilities:

• Use SolidWorks daily for concept design and technical drawings
• Develop ideas from concept to production
• Collaborate with clients and develop solutions
• Coordinate with manufacturing providers
• Create design documentation and project reports
• Update 3D models and drawings
• Input parts into the MRP system and create BOMs
• Work with various departments to ensure project delivery
• Maintain technical drawings and documentation
