Job description

Graduate Design Engineer required. Our client is a well-established and growing manufacturer of specialist machinery and equipment based in Nottingham. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Design Engineer to complete designs for manufacture and layout drawings using Solidedge 3D modelling software.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare manufacturing drawings of approved designs, including sheet metal drawings, weldments, and assembly drawings.
2. Comply with company health and safety standards.
3. Modify products for tenders and quotations.
4. Create 2D layout drawings from customer drawings or site survey information.
5. Provide sales and support assistance.

Requirements:

1. Proficient with 3D CAD software; Solidedge preferred but similar packages considered.
2. Degree qualified in Engineering or Manufacturing industries.
3. Experience with sheet metal fabrication is desirable.
4. Located within a commutable distance of Nottingham.

Additional Details:

• Salary: £25,000 PA.
• Full-time, Monday to Friday, permanent position.
• 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing with tenure.
• Practical training provided.
