Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer for a well-established manufacturer of special purpose machinery based in the Bournemouth area. This is an excellent opportunity to support the company's continual growth and development.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the development of products from conceptual drawing to design for manufacture.
2. Create drawings using 3D CAD software SolidWorks in accordance with customer specifications.
3. Produce Bills of Materials.
4. Liaise with team members, suppliers, and assist with requests for quotations by providing cost estimates.
5. Implement improvements and adjustments to existing systems, identify potential faults, and rectify them.

Requirements

• Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Industrial placement experience in design or engineering is advantageous but not essential.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential.
• Must be based within a commutable distance of Bournemouth.

Additional Details

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday. Benefits include holiday allowance and pension contributions.
