Are you a recent graduate looking to gain classroom experience and kickstart a career in education? ABC Teachers is seeking Graduate Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas.
About the role
A Cover Supervisor plays a vital role in schools, supervising pre-set lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You don’t need to be a qualified teacher – just confident, organised, and ready to lead a classroom. Whether you’ve worked with children before or are looking for a new challenge, we offer full training and ongoing support to help you succeed.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students in the teacher’s absence
- Maintain good classroom behaviour and ensure a productive learning environment
- Support students with their work, answering questions when needed.
- Follow the school’s policies on safeguarding, behaviour, and attendance
- Act as a positive role model for students, promoting engagement and motivation

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Graduate Cover Supervisor- Training Provided you will:
- Recent graduates in any subject
- Enthusiastic individuals with strong communication skills
- Experience working with young people is a bonus (sports coaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work, etc.)
- Ability to travel to schools in and around Stoke-on-Trent
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn
- Able to work within the UK and willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Recent graduates in any subject
