Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd. is seeking a Graduate Cover Supervisor to work with secondary schools across West Yorkshire, including Kirklees, Calderdale and Wakefield. The role offers flexible part- or full-time schedules and pays £112–£120 per day.

You will help facilitate class learning, manage behaviours, keep accurate registers, and prepare handover notes for teachers covering absences. This position suits recent graduates exploring teaching as a career and may include targeted training.

Are you a recent graduate seeking some school-based experience in secondary schools? Are you considering a career in education and teaching?

Our partnering secondary schools in Kirklees/Calderdale/Wakefield are seeking confident individuals who are passionate about education to work as Graduate cover supervisors. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a flexible schedule part or full time.

Lessons will be planned and your role as a Graduate cover supervisor is to facilitate the classes learning, manage classroom behaviour, record accurate registers and provide handover notes for the absent teacher. Successful candidates will be adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident, organised and will have a passion for education and supporting young people.

This role provides a great opportunity to gain experience of working within a secondary school prior to applying for Initial Teacher Training. Previous experience working with secondary age children is desirable but not essential.

If you are new to the Graduate Cover Supervisor role you will be offered a comprehensive Cover Supervisor training Programme to equip you with the skills you need. The next Graduate Cover Supervisor Programme is taking place on Tuesday 30th September in Lindley, Huddersfield –
