Role: General Cover Supervisor – Future Teacher Programme

Location: Sheffield

Start Date: ASAP

Are you a graduate considering a teaching career but first want to gain classroom experience?

We are working with several mainstream secondary schools in Sheffield looking to recruit cover supervisors initially on a temporary basis, with future opportunities for permanent positions. In this role, you will lead classes across all departments, deliver preset work, and manage classroom behaviour.

Our schools are eager to support graduates aspiring to become teachers by providing behaviour management training and opportunities to gain experience in a specific subject department.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in a school setting, be confident, and capable of leading classes and managing challenging behaviour. A subject specialism is advantageous.

1. Full-time or part-time roles (Monday – Friday or a minimum of 3 days per week).
2. Working hours typically until 3:15 pm.
3. Term-time only, aligned with the Sheffield academic calendar.

All pay rates are inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanent roles in the future.
