Cover Supervisor – Secondary School – Darlington
Full-Time | September Start | £100–£120 per day (dependent on experience)

We are seeking a confident and capable Cover Supervisor to work in a thriving secondary school in Darlington from September. This is a full-time position, we are looking for someone with prior UK school experience and a strong academic background in a curriculum subject.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning across the school, delivering pre-set lessons and managing classroom behaviour in the absence of teaching staff.

The role involves:

• Supervising classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 during teacher absence

• Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials and ensuring pupils remain on task

• Managing behaviour effectively and following school policy

• Supporting pupils in their learning and acting as a point of contact

Essential requirements:

• Experience working in a UK school setting (mainstream or SEND)

• A UK-recognised degree in a relevant school subject (e.g. English, Maths, Science, Humanities, etc.)

• Strong classroom presence, reliability, and confidence managing young people

• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

Desirable:

• Interest in progressing into teaching or education-related careers

• Flexibility and a proactive approach to school life
