Graduate Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor

Role and responsibilities
As a Graduate Cost Consultant / Quantity Surveyor, you will contribute to the delivery of residential, commercial, and infrastructure developments from day one. You'll gain exposure across all stages of the project lifecycle - from early-stage cost planning through to procurement and post-contract support.
Typical tasks include:
- Cost Planning & Estimating
- Assisting with preparation of budget estimates and elemental cost plans
- Supporting value engineering and feasibility assessments
- Working with project teams to understand design and cost impacts
- Procurement Support
- Helping to prepare tender documentation
- Supporting tender analysis and contractor appointment processes
- Assisting with the preparation of contract documents
- Post-Contract Management
- Monitoring project costs and preparing payment recommendations
- Supporting change control processes and cost forecasting
- Attending site and progress meetings with the project team
- Learning to manage commercial risks and support client objectives
What do we look for?
- A degree (or on track to complete one) in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or a related discipline
- A keen interest in the built environment and infrastructure development
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from experienced mentors
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm, ambition, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- A desire to work towards chartership
