Are you a recent graduate or junior engineer with a passion for control systems, automation, or software engineering? VIQU is working with a well-established UK-based technology company looking for a Graduate or Junior Control Systems Software Engineer to join their growing team.

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST HAVE 6 MONTHS EXPERIENCE/ RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE in Control Systems/ Automation

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career to gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, working with industry-leading technologies such as PLC, SCADA, HMI, and DCS. You'll be part of projects that support critical national infrastructure including the energy, nuclear, and utilities sectors helping to deliver secure, future-ready operational technology (OT) environments.

What You ll Do:

• Support the design, development, and testing of control systems software
• Assist with system upgrades, modifications, and new project builds
• Gain experience writing PLC/SCADA software under mentorship
• Participate in Factory and Site Acceptance Testing
• Collaborate on producing technical documentation (e.g. design specs, test plans)
• Occasionally travel to customer sites (UK-based)

What We re Looking For:

• A degree or HND in a relevant subject (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science)
• A keen interest in industrial automation, PLCs, or SCADA systems
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn platforms like Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to grow within a technical team
• Full UK Driving Licence
