Job Description:

Graduate Water Quality Consultant

Location: Surrey/Guildford region

Contract: 3 Month Fixed Term Contract (35 hours per week)

Working Hours: 07:00 to 15:00 and 13:00 to 21:00

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

About the role:

• Attending and investigating water pollution incidents across the Surrey/Guilford area
• Undertaking field monitoring works including water quality measurements and sampling
• Writing technical reports in response to water pollution incidents
• Providing accurate and timely information to line management
• Sharing knowledge and best practices to support team performance
• Performing other duties as qualified and able

About you:

• Degree in Biological or Environmental Sciences
• Understanding of water chemistry and parameters
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Experience in scientific fieldwork and enthusiasm for outdoor work
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team following protocols
• Motivated, friendly, and confident in client interactions
• Understanding of regulators like the Environment Agency (desirable)
• Laboratory analysis experience in environmental monitoring and compliance (desirable)
