Location: Leeds and Manchester
We require an individual of high calibre to assist in the flood risk and drainage teams at Tetra Tech across a range of activities including flood risk solution design, hydraulic modelling, hydrology assessment, drainage design, and SUDs. We work with a diverse range of clients on challenging infrastructure projects for private and public sector clients.
Projects typically include Flood Risk Assessments for planning supporting developments from 10 homes up to 5,000, local authority flood risk schemes from inception to hydraulic modelling and design of options, and supporting private sector clients in managing flood risk on their sites. Project sizes range from £1m to £100m across defence, transport, local government, infrastructure, healthcare, education, commercial, industrial, and residential sectors. You will work independently and proactively on technical aspects from a project’s inception to delivery and close-out, with support from senior colleagues.
We provide internal project management training and a structured learning and development platform including mentoring, coaching, CPD, and training to help our staff deliver excellence to clients. Travel UK-wide and occasional work outside normal office hours should be expected.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following:
Application Closing Date: 31 October 2025
Assessment Centre: February 2026
We take pride in delivering projects effectively for clients. This often requires colleagues to be together in offices or on site to ensure the best outcomes. When possible, we also support flexibility around how, when, and where you work. There is no one-size-fits-all approach; teams manage their own ways of working, focusing on outputs rather than inputs. Meeting colleagues and clients face to face in office environments or on site is important for collaboration, appraisals, and development.
We strive to make everybody feel welcome at Tetra Tech. If you have a disability, learning difficulty, medical condition, or any other need, we are happy to discuss reasonable adjustments to our application and selection process. Tetra Tech is an equal opportunities employer and encourages applications from all suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion or belief, marital status, or pregnancy/maternity leave, in line with the Equalities Act 2010.
