Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) is launching a Graduate Computational Scientist role as part of its Graduate Development Programme. You will join the Materials Simulation group, applying advanced computational methods to fusion-related material studies and contributing to multiscale modelling efforts.

Qualifications

Degree in physics, engineering, materials science, computing or mathematics.
Aptitude for mathematics and interest in theoretical physical modelling.
Interest in scientific computing and willingness to learn/program in Python.

Responsibilities

Apply advanced computational methods to study materials under fusion-relevant conditions.
Contribute to development of physical–mathematical multiscale models and evaluate new tools.
Take part in the UKAEA Graduate Scheme and engage with teams across projects.
