Graduate Commissioning Engineer

Our established and highly successful niche sector client offers a range of high-quality services that encompass Project Management and Implementation, Consultancy, and Software Development to blue-chip clients worldwide. As a result of continued success and an ongoing strategic growth plan, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Graduate Commissioning Engineer to join the existing Industrial Automation and Projects team delivering end-to-end control system solutions.

A team player with a tenacious approach to completing tasks efficiently and thoroughly, the Graduate Commissioning Engineer will assist the project delivery team in commissioning, installation, and testing of control systems and equipment at customer sites across the UK.

Core duties include (but are not limited to):

  1. Working closely with project delivery engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet high-quality standards.
  2. Conducting on-site inspections and performance testing to verify system functionality.
  3. Providing technical support and documentation for commissioning processes.
  4. Collaborating with clients and project teams to resolve issues and ensure successful project delivery.
  5. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  6. Assisting in the production and Factory Acceptance Testing of systems before deployment.

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree or higher qualification in electrical, electronic, or control engineering.
  • Solid problem-solving skills, an analytical approach, and excellent communication skills.
  • A full UK manual driving licence.
  • No criminal convictions, due to security clearance requirements.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without visa or sponsorship.

This is a field-based role covering the UK and occasionally Europe. It is ideally suited for someone based in Derby or the surrounding area with a flexible approach to travel and working away from home.
