About the Company

Edmundson Electrical is the UK's top distributor of branded electrical equipment, offering over 120,000 product lines and employing more than 4,000 staff across 400 locations in the UK and Ireland. A fast-growing company with a strong record in training and developing talent in sales and management roles, they are seeking ambitious graduates to join their team.

The Role

Based at any of their 400 independently operated profit centres nationwide, you will undergo training on the company, products, and market. Continuous on-the-job training, along with professional sales development, will equip you with essential skills for a successful sales career. Progression opportunities include external sales and potential profit centre management.

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the business through rotational training
  • Transition into an external, customer-facing sales role after approximately 12 months
  • Identify and develop new business from existing and lapsed accounts
  • Develop product knowledge to effectively promote Edmundson Electrical as a preferred supplier
  • Generate sales through phone and in-person negotiations

Candidate Requirements

  • Availability to work occasional Saturday mornings

Training and Development Timeline
First 6 Months
  • Start in the warehouse, learning about products, operations, market, customers, and suppliers
  • Rotate through departments, including trade counter
  • Begin sales activities around month 3, focusing on dormant accounts and new prospects
  • Participate in industry-leading sales training via BMS
Next 6-12 Months
  • Start consistently generating sales and revenue
  • Understand the full sales process
  • Build relationships with senior sales colleagues
Beyond 12 Months
  • Progress out of the Graduate Trainee role
  • Meet sales targets and expand field sales responsibilities
  • Opportunities for management roles for high performers
