What will you be doing?

First 6 months – Learn the business

You’ll get to know the business from the ground up, gaining experience across:

• Sales and customer service
• Warehouse and logistics
• Supply chain
• Administration
• IT systems
• Marketing
• Product knowledge and the electrical wholesale industry

You’ll also work directly with customers at the trade counter, building relationships with electricians, contractors and tradespeople.

Alongside your role, you’ll begin formal sales training, attend Head Office training and connect with other graduates on the programme. You’ll complete workbook assessments as you progress, with the opportunity to earn additional training bonuses.

6-12 months – Develop your commercial skills

You’ll move into an internal sales/account management position, working with B2B customers over the phone.

You’ll build experience working with customers such as construction companies, housing developers, local authorities and hotels, while learning how to:

• Develop and manage customer accounts
• Identify new business opportunities
• Build strong commercial relationships
• Target and win new key accounts
• Negotiate and close sales

12 months+ – Progress into field sales and management

As your experience develops, you’ll progress towards a B2B field sales and business management role.

You’ll travel locally in your company car to meet customers, discuss projects, develop accounts and build long‑term relationships.

Longer term, you’ll have the opportunity to work towards running your own business within the group, gaining experience across staff management, purchasing and profit & loss.
