Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is seeking a Graduate Civil Quantity Surveyor to support measurement, valuation, and cost control on civil engineering works. You will work with Project Managers and Site Engineers to monitor progress and assist in interim valuations and final accounts.

The role is permanent in the UK with a strong portfolio over the next 5+ years. A degree in Quantity Surveying or related field and proficiency in Excel are required, with a willingness to learn and develop within a

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Relevant work placement or internship experience advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent record keeping and administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with measurement and valuation of civil engineering works.
• Support interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Work with Project Managers and Site Engineers to monitor progress.
• Assist in preparing commercial reports for project management.
• Maintain records of costs, variations and contractual documentation.
• Assist with subcontractor accounts and payments administration.
• Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, professionalism and willingness to learn.
