As a Graduate Engineer with our Cementation team, you will have the opportunity to experience the whole life cycle of a piling and foundations project through a rotational programme. From tendering and estimating for projects to delivery as a Site Engineer, you will develop your geotechnical knowledge while experiencing civil engineering projects.

What you’ll do:
  • Work as part of a team on-site, delivering challenging geotechnical projects, managing programme, quality, logistics, and problem solving
  • Liaise with clients and professionals including contractors, engineers, and subcontractors
  • Work with our Technical Design team to develop knowledge in pile and retaining wall design, and Ground Engineering techniques
  • Understand tendering processes and assist in preparing estimates with our Pre-construction team
  • Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors to develop commercial skills
  • Adhere to Skanska’s environment and health and safety policies

Graduate Programme Details:

Includes digitalization and social value projects, providing exposure and networking opportunities. The programme develops technical and interpersonal skills through courses and on-the-job learning.

Rotations:

Placements across UK locations, lasting from 1 to 9 months, with allowances for relocation or staying away from home. Some office placements may be remote. The rotations provide comprehensive exposure to piling projects from tendering to delivery, aiding in chartership achievement.
