Job summary

Damicor Ltd, a utilities contractor, is recruiting a Graduate Site Engineer to support Thames Water mains renewal and clean water infrastructure projects across London, including North London sites. You will gain hands-on site experience while working with experienced engineers to develop setting-out, surveying and engineering skills in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• A degree or relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Genuine interest in developing a career within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of engineering drawings, surveying and setting-out principles.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn from experienced engineers.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a site-based team.
• Full UK driving licence or willingness to travel between project sites advantageous.
• Previous site experience, placement year or industrial placement beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting out and surveying activities across water infrastructure and mains renewal projects.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Support Site Engineers and Site Managers with day-to-day technical and engineering duties.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure works are completed in accordance with drawings and project specifications.
• Assist with quality inspections, testing and maintaining accurate site records.
• Help identify technical issues, discrepancies and potential delays.
• Liaise with site teams, subcontractors and project management to support project delivery.
• Ensure all activities comply with health and safety procedures and site requirements.
• Develop an understanding of construction methods, quality assurance and site management processes.
