Job summary

Amey is recruiting a Graduate Civil Engineer for Water & Flood Management in the UK. Based in Birmingham or Cardiff, you’ll join a team delivering flood risk and water management projects, under supervision, and support feasibility, design and site activities from day one.

The role starts at £31,000 with a clear path toward professional chartership, learning from experienced engineers and working on high-profile projects across the region.

Responsibilities

• Support the feasibility, design and delivery of flood risk and water management projects.
• Assist with engineering calculations, technical assessments and design development.
• Prepare engineering drawings and documentation using industry-standard software.
• Contribute to hydrological, hydraulic modelling, flood risk assessments and drainage studies.
• Undertake site visits, inspections and surveys.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, feasibility studies, business cases and client presentations.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Develop an understanding of relevant design standards, CDM requirements and industry best practice.
• Support project delivery whilst building your path towards professional chartership.
