Job summary

Cundall is seeking graduates for a Civil Engineer role to work on UK and international projects within a multi-disciplinary team. You will contribute to designs across education, healthcare, critical systems and retail with emphasis on sustainability and innovative solutions.

Under supervision, you will perform water flow/highway design tasks, flood risk and hydrological assessments, road alignment and earthworks analysis, translating client needs into build-ready designs.

Qualifications

• On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
• Desirable to have or be on course to achieve a BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Eng.
• Interest in civil design and analysis for the built environment; passion for creative/design.
• Desire for personal and professional development; ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of Grasshopper or Dynamo or at least one programming language (Python/C#/VB).
• Organised and methodical in task management; meets deadlines.
• Strong communication with stakeholders; proactive and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Designs for buildings, infrastructure, facilities and services with sustainability in mind.
• Carry out water flow and highways design including flood risk and hydrological assessments.
• Define and translate client needs into designs in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Develop expertise over time with progression toward Chartered status through ICE/IStructE programmes.
