Job summary

Cundall is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join its Civil Engineering team in the UK and worldwide projects. You’ll work on design, water flow and highways tasks, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary colleagues to deliver sustainable solutions.

Under expert guidance, you’ll translate client needs into designs with sustainability at the forefront while developing toward Chartership through ICE/IStructE programmes. The role starts September 2027 and offers a clear development path.

Qualifications

• On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
• Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Interest in civil design and analysis for the built environment with a passion for creative design.
• Desire for personal and professional development and ability to work in a team.
• Digital engineering focus; understanding of Grasshopper or Dynamo or programming language (Python, C#, VB).
• Organised and methodical in task management and deadlines.
• Collaborative, with excellent written and verbal communication; proactive and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Design of exciting construction projects in the UK and worldwide.
• Provide specialist consultancy input across Education, Healthcare, Critical Systems and Retail.
• Carry out water flow and highways design including flood risk and hydrological assessments, road alignment, and earthworks analysis.
• Translate client needs into sustainable building, infrastructure, facilities and services designs.
• Progress to greater responsibility and autonomy with accredited development toward Chartership.
