About the job Graduate Civil Engineer - Summer 2025

Fantastic opportunity available for a Graduate Civil Engineer for my Client's 2025 intake in Bristol. Are you graduating this year with your Degree in Civil Engineering? Are you seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer design-focused role within an Engineering Consultancy that is focused on the delivery of infrastructure design projects for Clients in the built environment? Do you have a clear passion for civil engineering design and a desire to pursue your career as a Civil Engineer?

My Client provides a full range of services to clients within the Civil, Structural, Geo-environmental, and Transportation sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to start working in a small and friendly team, alongside a skilled team of professionals, providing valuable support and obtaining real hands-on experience.

This role is based in Bristol, and my Client is seeking to recruit someone based locally to their offices. If you are due to graduate this year from Bristol University or returning home to Bristol from studies elsewhere, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Education and Learning Experience:
Degree in an appropriate built environment discipline, i.e. Civil Engineering, and working towards membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers or a similar learned society/professional body.

Ideally, applicants will be on course to secure a strong degree qualification, ideally obtaining a minimum 2:1 BEng or above.

Technical Skills:

  • Use of AutoCAD/Autodesk Civil 3D (optional)
  • Basic use of Microsoft Office software packages, i.e. Excel, Word, etc.
  • Fundamentals of civil engineering design to a graduate level.
  • Enthusiastic and personable attitude.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage own workload within agreed time scales.

In return for your hard work and commitment as a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be encouraged and given opportunities to advance within the project team and company hierarchy. You will be expected to attend in-house and external training courses, seminars, and institution events and continue in your professional development as a Civil Engineer.
