My client, a large, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Graduate Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, near the historical, industrial city of Doncaster.
Essential Criteria:
* A Degree in Civil Engineering
* Working knowledge of flood risk and drainage strategies, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
* Knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.)
* A good understanding of InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and other software packages
* The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
* A willingness to learn and consistently develop technical skills through hands-on experience
It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Graduate Civil Engineer to possess the following skills:
* Some professional experience, particularly in the flood risk and drainage sector
* Working knowledge of a range of additional relevant software packages
* A demonstrable commitment to improving your knowledge and skills in the field
* Excellent time management and communication skills
As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will be joining a team of expert design engineers, working on a number of varied, high-profile projects across the region. As you progress through your career, you will take on a range of different responsibilities, including the following:
* Working on a range of flood risk and drainage strategy projects
* Contributing to the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard, within given timeframes
* Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
* Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including calculations, models, and drawings
* Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
* Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
* Developing and maintaining client relations
* Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
