Graduate Civil Engineer
Location: Exeter
Salary: £26,000 – £32,000

About the Role

We are seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join a busy residential-focused consultancy based in Exeter. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least 6 months’ experience in drainage design and a strong awareness of the residential development sector. You will support the engineering team by assisting with the preparation of technical designs, drawings, and calculations, contributing to various stages of residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of drainage and infrastructure designs for residential developments.
• Support production of design packs, Part As, and plot drainage details.
• Undertake calculations and prepare technical drawings using CAD software.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
• Contribute to external works design and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and support project delivery to agreed deadlines.

About You

• Minimum 6 months experience in drainage design.
• Good understanding of residential development sector requirements.
• Degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Proficient in CAD software; knowledge of drainage design software is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and develop.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
