Engineering Opportunities

Joining as an engineer, you'll specialize within your chosen discipline and gain the necessary experiences to become a technical expert. Our approach combines technical expertise with a human perspective, fostering innovation and creativity. During the programme, you'll develop core engineering and consulting skills applicable to projects with clients in the UK and internationally.

Sector Focus

Our civil engineering community works across sectors including highways, rail, energy, and water management. Projects vary in scale and scope:

• Highways Engineer: Design and develop safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation systems, maintaining and enhancing road infrastructure.
• Water Management Engineer: Work on waste and clean water infrastructure, delivering resilient and sustainable solutions using advanced technology and natural methods.
• Rail Engineer: Cover all aspects of civil engineering for railways, from earthworks to structures, supporting safe and efficient railway operations.
• Energy Engineer: Support clients in delivering new connections and grid upgrades to meet UK's Net Zero carbon goals.

The programme offers growth opportunities across sectors, with some site visits and inspections involved.

Role Requirements

• Roles within Highways, Water, and Energy are open to candidates with a BEng or MEng in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Roles within Rail require an MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Qualifications & Experience

• Recent graduates or final-year students with at least a 2:2 in relevant Bachelor's or Master's degrees.
• Demonstrate skills such as resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and teamwork.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders using technical knowledge.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when necessary (with virtual working options available).
