Job Title: Experienced Graduate Civil Design Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 (Guide Only)

Fantastic opportunity for a recently graduated Civil Engineer to join an expanding Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy in Birmingham, providing innovative and sustainable solutions for a wide range of projects, from residential and commercial buildings to infrastructure and industrial facilities.

The ideal candidate will have approximately 1 year of experience in the design of infrastructure-related projects, including highways, drainage, and earthworks, and have current working knowledge of Civils 3D, CAD, and drainage design software.

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will undertake infrastructure design work and coordinate with third parties, such as clients, contractors, and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Undertake design for infrastructure projects, including 3D surface modelling and hydraulic drainage design.
• Represent SBK at client, contractor, and local authority meetings.
• Knowledge of design and approvals for S278 and S38 highway schemes with design capability when supervised by senior staff.
• Knowledge of design and approvals of S104, S106, and S185 drainage schemes, including awareness of current drainage legislation and sustainable drainage practice.
• Knowledge and awareness of the preparation of Flood Risk Assessments.
• Knowledge of working with Civils 3D, AutoCAD, and drainage modelling software such as FLOW or Microdrainage.
