Job summary

Cranleigh Scientific is seeking a Graduate Chemist / Laboratory Technician to join a state-of-the-art Surrey facility on a fully onsite, permanent role. Qualifications

• Recent degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry or a related scientific discipline.
• Good basic laboratory and computer skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Manage the receipt, handling and dispatch of laboratory samples.
• Maintain accurate sample records and keep storage areas organised.
• Liaise with logistics, sales and quality teams to coordinate sample requirements.
• Communicate updates and help resolve sample-related delays.
• Participate in sensory training covering olfactory families, aroma chemicals and natural products.
• Support the physical testing and organoleptic evaluation of samples.
• Contribute to flavour and fragrance development projects and customer presentations.
• Gain exposure to techniques including GC, HPLC and titration.
