Graduate – Business Improvement Engineer

Job Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Business Process Improvement Manager, you will be a key member of the BI team, providing support within the Window Systems Division.

The role involves supporting the delivery of business improvement initiatives through analytical thinking, data-driven problem solving, and structured project support. This graduate role aims to develop future BI leaders by offering hands-on experience in continuous improvement, systems analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Accountabilities:
General
  • Adhere to organisational policies, management systems, and operational procedures, including health, safety, environmental, and quality responsibilities.
  • Develop good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel, fostering mutual respect and dignity.
  • Represent the organisation positively to maintain its corporate image.
  • Promote and embody the Epwin Core Values.
Technical
  • Assist in delivering improvement projects across manufacturing, warehousing, and support functions.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support development and maintenance of BI dashboards, reports, and visual management tools.
  • Participate in A3 problem-solving activities and Obeya-style project reviews.
  • Collaborate with BI Manager and site teams to implement lean tools and process improvements.
  • Contribute to standardizing and documenting BI processes and systems.
  • Present findings and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Key Experiences and Skills Required:
  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution operations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
  • Experience in Project Management and Process/Change management.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with data analysis tools or ERP/MES systems (e.g., Navision, Mattec).
  • Full Driving License.
