Job Opportunity: Graduate/Experienced Building Surveyor | Manchester

Are you a recent Building Surveying graduate with a proactive mindset, strong technical skills, and a passion for delivering quality work? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, multi-disciplinary property consultancy and develop a wide-ranging skill set across all key areas of building surveying.

We’re recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded firm based in Manchester, looking for a Graduate Building Surveyor to join their growing team. Whether you are a recent graduate or already have 1–2 years of post-graduate experience, this is the perfect environment to continue your development and work towards MRICS accreditation with full APC support.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You'll gain hands-on experience across a variety of project types and responsibilities, including:

  • Conducting detailed measured surveys and producing accurate CAD plans
  • Carrying out inspections and condition reports, including planned maintenance schedules
  • Preparing planning applications and liaising with planning authorities
  • Producing construction-level drawings and writing technical specifications
  • Managing tender processes, analyzing bids, and preparing contracts
  • Acting as contract administrator and supporting site-based project delivery
  • Chairing and attending client/contractor meetings, preparing minutes, and overseeing project documentation
  • Supporting the property management team with technical advice and minor works
  • Liaising directly with clients and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Managing documentation and time effectively across multiple live projects

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree in Building Surveying (RICS accredited)
  • Ideally 1–2 years of relevant post-graduate experience
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Motivated, proactive, and a team player
  • Committed to achieving MRICS status and progressing professionally
