Graduate Building Surveyor

Salary: £26-28,000 DOE

A well-established, multidisciplinary practice based in the centre of Dorking; Surrey is seeking a motivated Graduate Building Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The firm operates from a characterful office in a historic building, within walking distance of the town's amenities and train stations. With a strong commitment to sustainable design and involvement in projects ranging from new builds to cladding remediation and refurbishments (£1m-£20m), this is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain diverse experience and launch their career in the built environment.

Daily Duties:

* Assist with site and condition surveys

* Support senior colleagues in managing varied projects

* Attend building sites and monitor construction progress

* Aid in preparing planning and building control applications

* Contribute to party wall matters and associated documentation

* Liaise with clients and contractors throughout project stages

* Produce and modify AutoCAD drawings

* Carry out general administrative tasks

Ideal Candidate:

* Holds a RICS-accredited degree (or equivalent) in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline

* Intends to start their APC (Assessment of Professional Competence)

* Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and AutoCAD

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Enthusiastic, diligent, and eager to develop professionally

* A UK resident with the ability to commute to office and site locations using their own vehicle

* Capable of working both independently and collaboratively on multiple projects
